Mister Bar Voltar

Voltar is one of the best horses I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. This story starts with meeting my friend Beth who raises Arabian horses that she would show and go all over with.
My dealings with Arabian horses had not been that pleasant. They where hot headed, hot tempered and just not my kind of horse.

Beth kept telling me about her champion stallion Mister Bar Ameer, of course I would say Beth, I'm sorry but your horses aren't going to impress me. WOW WAS I WRONG!!

The first time I saw Mister I stood there looking at one of the most awesome horses I'd ever seen. Not only was he pretty to look at but his personality was heavenly. There was something very special about this boy!
I learned that he was a type of Arabian called a CMK, He was the old type back when they where bred for brains more then beauty. He was stocky, smart, flashy and a sweetheart. The kind of Arabian horse that you only see in dreams and movies.

Mister Bar Ameer - Voltars Sire

After knowing Mister for awhile I leased Satya, an Egyptian/CMK mare and bred her to him. The filly Monette was nice, but not what I was looking for. Then I found a very nice CMK mare that needed rescuing and the next year Agmira Rose gave birth to American Symphony, a lovely little chestnut filly with lots of chrome.
I kept hearing about Voltar, Misters first purebred son being for sale. The problem was he was a stallion who had his papers lost and no one had done anything with him for several years.
One day I decided to go look at him for something to do basically, knowing he was a Mister son I thought he would make a nice gelding and a great riding horse. What I discovered was an Mister clone! I discovered that his papers had never been transferred but had been destroyed in a flood and he was still in Beth's name. $500 later and with Beth's help on the papers I owned a Registered CMK Arabian stallion!

New friends

Voltar was the Representative for the Arabian horse club at the Lake County Fair in Ca, he loved it and was a total hit!
When I moved to ND I intended to send for Voltar and have him here with me. By now Mister was retired and was going to be gelded so he could enjoy life as a gelding running loose with the mares that had been his harem for so long.
The more I thought about Beth and Voltar and the special bond they had we decided that he would stay there as a replacement for his Sire. What an honor to have my beloved Voltar follow in Misters hoof prints!

Voltar now is loved and owned by the Witter Springs Farm/Dianna Perez partnership.I'm still very involved in his life and love him as much as ever but realize its a much better situation for everyone. I know he's safe, loved in a forever home in Beths hands, and he is there for me to visit or breed too.
How could I ask for anything more then that?

Voltar's Sire Mister Bar Ameer sadly had to be put down in Dec-07. I'm glad that I decided to leave his clone son there for Beth. I hope its made the loss of Mister abit easier knowing a part of him will live on in this special son of his.
