With the vineyards creeping up from the Napa area, it was becoming harder and harder to find any breathing room.
The quality of the people was changing as well and with the death of my father I decided it was time to strike out and find a place that was abit more peaceful.
That brought me to a small town near Bismark, North Dakota.
Known for its rich historical value North Dakota has been home to many tribes Indians for literally thousands of years hunting Mammoth and other prehistoric animals. This continued untill the end of the Indian wars with the United States.
Today its crops are world known as is its beef production.
I'm always asked if the winters are as bad here as everyone says. No, so far I've not seen anything nearly as bad as what we have in the sierras on any given year. Its the wind that comes with the snow that will freeze you.
